Stay Creative. Be Yourself.

Stay creative, loved one. Sink your bare toes in the sand. Find warmth beneath the surface. Love fiercely. Collect stones. Call out beauty! Imagine the absolute best. Don’t lose that spark of who you are. Offer what only you can give. Dig beneath the surface.
It’s easy to forget who you are in the rodeo of it all. I find recovery in being creative. I like how empathy brings insight, and I’m discovering it’s okay to be sensitive as long as you balance it with objectivity at times.
When I close my eyes, I imagine this season like walking along a beach. It’s beautiful and terrifying all at once. There’s so much to take in, but there’s also quite a bit to travel if you want to get further than a few steps. It may not be what you expect in a lot of ways, but that doesn’t mean the unexpected is always bad.
An emotion doesn’t need to be tied to every single movement, but it’s wise to know where you’re at with the steps you take. Know your condition. Recognize any cuts and bruises along the way. Don’t ignore when the clouds roll in and the wind picks up. Take note and with a deep breath, decide to either keep going or take cover.
Detours aren’t always a distraction. They may just be the main path, you just haven’t realized it yet. Trials aren’t a bad thing, but your smile is a powerful anchor. Look people in the eyes and tell yourself the truth no matter how hard it may be. Be yourself and let time pass the way it’s supposed to.
