Living Alive

I believe it’s time to loosen and unravel some muscles and thoughts. It’s time to untangle and redefine some ways and perspectives. It isn’t about how much weight we can lift as much as it’s about how deeply we can breathe and how well we can live each day.
It’s easy to settle with unhealthy mindsets by calling them a “season,” but in reality we just need to let anything dragging us down go. It isn’t worth it. Life is short, and the key is you have to choose to actually live alive.
You’re not lost, you’re discovering. You’re not hopeless, you’re just letting doubt shape your perspective. Maybe you’re not as tired as you think, you’re simply letting yourself get bored. And maybe you’re not hungry, you’re longing. Longing for something boundless. Yearning to break free. Trying to recover, but you have to let go of some entanglements and doings first.
What is holding you back from living long and in the moment? In ways I think we’ve gotten comfortable with just surviving and settling, but we weren’t created to slouch and shrug our shoulders at every curve and trial.
Our bodies want to get stronger. Our minds want to get sharper. Our soul needs to dream and hope for something more. We need to recognize our needs and then get them taken care of so we can start dreaming bigger.
If you need water, drink it. If you need wonder, fight for a little magic in your day. If you need to dream, stop seeing every tiny task as mundane and start treating them like a training ground.
We need to be a part of something greater than our own selfish life. We are connected by more than isolation and malice, so let it all go and start rediscovering what creates smiles and laughter.
Your life is worth the adventure, mischief and joy. Life is worth the mourning and growing. It’s worth the stillness of being alone and the power of coming together. It’s worth a trail of petals and a garden of sticks. Get creative and start finding the tiny wonders in your every day. Take the pressure off and breathe a little. Uncap your excuses and live fiercer.
