Keep On Keeping On

Keep going. Keep doing the things that are getting you closer to where you want to be. Don’t stop dreaming. Close your eyes and watch comets take out the habits that imprison you. Don’t settle for self-destructive behaviors. Set them on fire. Give yourself a chance, because you deserve a chance to be better and stronger. I honestly believe that we were created to get better and grow stronger.
Drink some water and cleanse your mind of all those toxic thoughts. Light the match that flips the switch and gives you a fighting chance. You’re worth the fight. You’re worth setting all your misconceived ideas of yourself to ashes. Stop lying to yourself about yourself. You’re capable of more than you think and you don’t have to settle for a mediocre existence. Tell yourself what you need to do and then do it.
Let the echo of wisdom and truth whisper in your ear and then listen to it. Don’t waste one more minute repeating the things that give you a reason to doubt your breath. You can make a difference with small decisions today. Five minutes of a changed habit carves a new path. Slow yourself down, slow your existence down and ask yourself what you need. Stop pushing yourself past your limit if it isn’t the right exercise that will train you to fan the flame.
Passion isn’t about an explosion. True desire is proven through time and consistency. It’s proven through the stretch, but injury can happen if you’re not ready for the strain so slow down and be careful. Be careful now, so you can take the right risks later. It might not be as long of a wait as you think, so prepare yourself for what’s to come. You don’t have to live cautiously by any means, but wisdom can give you what it takes to pursue your best life for the long haul.
Make the decisions that give you peace and then rest heavy on your pillow at night. Wake up with a determination that steadies you, makes you ready and fills you with hope for a new existence. Don’t settle for old thoughts and old ways, seek out your new path and distinguish your new self. You might have to sacrifice some hours for thought, but they’ll help you sleep better. And if you get to a point where you just don’t know, slow down even more for the sake of your sanity and the sunrise.
