Throw Caution to the Wind
By: Michelle Ramirez
Do you ever have those moments where you pause and observe your life as it’s happening? You’re present and aware, able to squeeze out every morsel of joy and memorize it. Nothing is lost, nothing is a blur.
Well this is one of those moments. I’m cruising down the California coast with my baby girl, in a red mustang convertible. The road is winding, the scenery is lush and green, the breeze is salty. For a few days, this is my life. No work, no agenda, no time schedule. I’ve given my practical side the week off. Sure, there are some clouds in the sky, but I’m throwing caution to the wind and driving with the top down.
I see rain drops on the windshield. My practical side would pull over and put the top up, but she’s not here…heh heh. So, I roll up the windows and turn on the windshield wipers. The rain drops stream right over the car and we remain dry. Yahoo!
